Leo's self publishing resource center Links

Angel Editing Very Good Editing Services
Available either from this link or from the Lulu marketplace. Angel provides very high quality editing at very competitive prices. I was thrilled with their work on my first book. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Selfpub.net
A good website for self publishing information. They also sell templates if you don't want to do the work to customize your book for POD printing. They have guides and other information as well.

Foner books
This is Morris Rosenthal's website. He has written a book which can help you with marketing your self published book. He has some of the information on his website and more in his book.

Your own Self Publishing company
On Aaron Sheppard's website there are some resources but you can also see all of his books. He wrote Aiming at Amazon which has plenty of tips and ideas on how to start you own self publishing company, how to market your book at Amazon and other self publishing resources.

Weber Books
Steve Weber's site has two tracks of information. The first is selling used books on Amazon. He wrote a book on that subject. The second element of his website deals with marketing your own book. It details things that you can do to get more people to look at your book and hopefully of course buy it.

Lulu of course
The least expensive way to go in self publishing your own book. She's my best gal when it comes to POD publishing.

Createspace.com, the 2nd best alternative right now to Lulu
The second least expensive way to go in self publishing your own book. Could be the cheapest if you know how to make your own book covers and desire your book for sale on Amazon.

Self Publishing.com
A good resource on self publishing. Beware however as the site does have people trying to sell you things. I found the following page in one of their blog archives. It has a lot of good information for writers and self publishers. The blog entry: http://www.selfpublishingblog.com/2006/09/101_resources_f.html

From an email I received from another self published author, she recommended the following three books to read as well.
The Self-Publishing Manual (Dan Poynter)
The Complete Self-Publishing Handbook (Brownstone & Franck)
The Publishing Game: Publish your book in 30 days (Fern Reiss)
The first two cover the background but the last one is the one she used to publish her book and described it as: a superb how-to plan. She is listed in my link exchange under the Makeroni.com. Here is my links where you can look her up. Leo's Links.
