I progressed from traditional Oil on canvas to Collage works which subsequently lead me to Object oriented painting. This room has some collage paintings from that period. My collage paintings were the worst but they taught me quite a bit about painting with objects; therefore, as bad as they are, they were important for me personally. You can see how bad the digital images are when you scroll down to the fourth row and compare to similarly painted pictures on almost identical canvas, but one is much much darker then the other one.

My first real studio. It was enormous and no one could have asked for a larger studio
Except without air conditioning in a Washington D.C. summer it was boiling hot!
The painting over my shoulders is 14' x 8' in size. When I was young, I thought the big concepts had to be large.
